The closest village to the complex is Petalidi village that is 6km away or a 5 min drive. The village has lots of stores and shops to collect your essentials. Every Friday there is a fish market where you can buy fresh fish that the local fishermen have just caught. There are plenty of tavernas and shops should you wish to eat here.
Local Beaches
Chranoi sandy beach is just a 5-10 min drive. Peroulia beach is about 20-25 min and this is a favourite with guests. It has a great tavern located on the beach plus a beach bar. All the coastline from the complex to Koroni is full of sandy beaches and worth exploring such as Kolonides beach or Helona beach which derives its name from the turtle which breeds in this area. Don’t forget to get up early and visit the beach to see them off to the sea.
Further away and approx. 50mins is the famous beach of Voidokilia near Pilos. This has been voted as one of the best beaches in the world according to the New York Times and its as if you’ve copy pasted a beach from the Caribbean. This is nature reserve and you will have to take your own umbrellas and snacks. Finikounda, Gialova, Chrisi Akti are other great sandy beaches.
If you have ample time don’t forget to visit the East side of the Messian Gulf with the beaches of Mikri Mandinia, Kitries and last but not least Kardamili.
